More About Reid Moriarty
Reid Moriarty is a charismatic young adult dancing his way through high school in Southern California. He cut his teeth as front man for The Kingsmen, a band of four guys on the autism spectrum gigging at coffeehouses, autism fundraisers and local garages. Reid is a seasoned performer pursuing duets with area musicians, worship sets, and cameo solo appearances. His original songwriting is done in collaboration with music therapist, Angela Neve, yielding a winsome form of edutainment that inspires and keeps you smiling. Reid recently shared his story and music with The SongStream Project for their audio documentary “Voices of Autism.”
Tuned in to Learning founder, Michelle Lazar, MA, MT-BC holds a special place in her heart for Reid. In the late 1990’s Reid was one of Michelle’s first music therapy students. With fond memories of the quirky songs they created, Reid always had a way of bringing laughter and enthusiasm to their time together. There is nothing more rewarding than watching Reid blossom over the years. To this day, he has a zest for life and an intuitive energy about him. He embraces the present moment and when you least expect it, surprises you with a compliment, thought provoking commentary, a smile, or a bit of his own unique brand of humor.
Reid is available in the San Diego county area for children’s events where participants can sing and dance along with his songs and color activity sheets that depict the lyrics.
